Aaron D. Brackett

A boy with special needs

It has been said that Autism is, "intelligence gone awry." Dr. Bernard Rimland, in his revered book "Infantile Autism" published by Prentice Hall © 1964, suggests that Autism is, "the paradox of intelligence" and many scholars have said what amounts to the same. Other Doctors have looked for the answer to Dr. Rimland's paradox, but have surmised with clever jargon that there is none. All of which may rise to some justifiable medical value, but the total weight of their sterile clinical critical mass misses the real essence of who and what our son Aaron is. Whatever Aaron's condition, he is a "Special Child" with special needs.

Have you ever seen something so incredibly real, so incredibly beautiful, that within the moment your mind becomes aware of that presence, it is indelibly captured in your memory for eternity?

Aaron D. Brackett is surely that. He is the purest of living things. He assumes no prejudice, he has no fear and he knows no malice. Look into Aaron's eyes and you will see an individual with no need to judge, no need to pretend, no need to analyze. Look into his eyes, and as he returns your request in kind, with just one glance, with just one smile, he effortlessly gives so fully by his expression, it seems to redeem the very deepest recess of one's soul. Aaron represents the purest child within each of us.
