This Edison carbon lamp is one of the most collectable "value holders" for its period and the platinum lead-in wires just before the filament indicates this bulb is early for this type. These double loop supported filament bulbs are extremely rugged, the white porcelain Thomson-Houston base is famous for its durability and always keeps a clean factory finish look. The quality of this light bulb is also marked by the beautiful oval Edison label on the glass and the GE label inside the stem which makes this an excellent collectable example of Edison's progress in early lighting history, circa 1900. This Edison light bulb is 104 v, 16 c and measures 4.5 inches long. As can be seen from the photo, the filament is precisely formed, intact and working. This lamp is in great shape.
