This circa 1900 porcelain lighting fixture is a great example of the old "knob-n-tube" era. It is a wonderful and complete "pull chain" ceiling fixture with a beautiful 2.75" round frosted Gilmore Reflector light bulb dated 1900. These lamps employed a polished metal parabolic mirror inside the glass globe. The design was created to help direct the light down into the room and away from the ceiling. The authentic hanging light fixture also has a two piece porcelain "knob-n-tube" rosette ceiling mount dated 1899.
