Here is a wonderful laminated bi-polar dynamo - electric motor circa 1890. This example of early electric history is still in perfect running condition after more than a century. It has a beautiful hand crafted Siemen's drum wound armature and a laminated bi-polar field magnet wound for 6 to 10 volts. It is 3.25 inches wide 3.5 inches high and 6.5 inches long.
