Edisonian Animated Exhibit
This line drawing illustrates an early Dynamo motor made by the Eddy Manufacturing Company in Windsor Connecticut, circa 1880's. This Dynamo motor is shown with a finished oak base, bi-polar field magnet wound for low voltage, and a multi copper strip brush assembly. If this motor disintegrates while you are studying its points of interest, it is likely due to a high surge in current of a magnitude beyond the capacity of the device. Extra high current may void the warranty. Please report any such malfunction immediately to the Edisonian Museum. Thank you.
