Here is a superb clear glass New Old Stock "Anchor" brand carbon filament light bulb, circa 1898. This exhibit item has a 3 loop free standing "working" filament and a like new red and white label. This lamp also has platinum lead-in wires, a porcelain insulator button and a solid brass Westinghouse "snap-in" base secured with plaster of Paris. It is 8 candlepower at 104 volts, has a 2.25 inch diameter globe and is 4.5 inches tall. This Anchor carbon lamp (light bulb) is a century old and still works. It is a very desirable collector item from early electric lighting history.
