Here is a beautiful hand blown glass "Grenet Battery" jar. The Grenet cell battery was Edison's favorite battery. It was devised by a French inventor, Messier Grenet. This Grenet "glass jar" stands 8.5 inches tall and is 5.0 inches in diameter at the globe girth. The bottom of the jar is a full inch thick pintle patty base.
