This beautiful Gilmore light bulb has a 5 loop carbon filament and a metallic parabolic reflector mounted inside the glass globe, mounted to direct the light through the lamp's beautiful crown of frost. The scalloped frost top is etched into the exterior of the glass in order to reduce the filament glare. This Gilmore glass globe is 2.75 inches in diameter and the over all length of the bulb measures 4.0 inches. Two patent dates are on this Gilmore label; July 24, 1900 and Dec. 11, 1900. The filament in this "Gilmore Reflector" is intact and working which makes this lamp a highly collectable piece of early electric lighting history.
