This Carleton 8 inch electric fan is likely circa 1905. It is 100% all there and original right down to the burgundy silk wound cord and porcelain horizontal blade plug. There is a speed control in the base and it has a nice nickel plated "S" design wire cage, as well as a 4 leaf blade. Because of the shape of the electric motor, this style fan is sometimes referred to as a "baseball" fan.
